The shipping industry is accelerating its transition towards emission
reduction and transformation under the circumstance of global efforts to combat
climate change and promote green and low-carbon development,. The Company's
fleet is proactively responding to international environmental protection
requirements and actively exploring green shipping paths.
Our fleet is actively implementing the requirements of the EU Emissions
Trading System (EU ETS) and FuelEU Maritime. By optimizing speed management,
enhancing operational efficiency, and rationally allocating the proportion of
low-carbon fuel usage, it effectively reduces carbon emission intensity and
alleviates the pressure of carbon quota costs. At the same time, in combination
with ship energy efficiency management measures, our fleet continuously
improves the overall green level of operations, ensuring a balance between
compliance and efficiency.
We have achieved phased results in the application of biofuels and in
responding to the EU's emission reduction regulations. Some 38K vessels on
European routes have started to use biofuels in actual operations. This type of
fuel can be directly used under the existing power system without large-scale
equipment modifications, effectively reducing greenhouse gas emissions
throughout the vessel's life cycle. Through pilot operations on relevant
European routes, the fleet has accumulated valuable operational and management
experience in using biofuels, laying a solid foundation for subsequent
promotion.
Through the above measures, our fleet has achieved a coordinated
improvement in emission control and economic benefits while ensuring safe
operation, further enhancing its competitiveness in the international shipping
market and demonstrating the company's commitment to fulfilling its
environmental responsibilities. Looking to the future, the company will
continue to deepen its green shipping practices, explore diverse low-carbon
technology paths, and contribute to promoting the sustainable development of the
industry.
