Sub-forum of China Navigation Day on September 6, 2022——Port and shipping enterprises Development Forum held in Pingtan, Fujian. Guests from the Water Transport Bureau of the Ministry of Communications, the Maritime Administration, the Academy of Water Sciences, industry associations and enterprises gathered together to discuss the status quo and development experience of the industry around the theme of "Be a pioneer, drive innovation", to offer wisdom and suggestions for the high-quality development of the port and shipping industry, and to gather strength and momentum to accelerate the construction of a maritime power, shipping power and transportation power.
Si Liang, general manager of SC Shipping (Shanghai) Company Limited, delivered a keynote speech titled "SC Shipping's Global Route Development History and Future Prospects" at the forum. This paper introduces the arduous process of the ocean fleet from joining the foreign shipowners pool in the early stage, following the "copy operation" of the big European and American shipowners, to forming from the home base, tapping Chinese charterers, focusing on the Far East, deepening the fine chemical cargo pooling, and gradually establishing the self-operating capability of the global shipping line. The process of Junzheng Shipping expanding the international shipping line is combined with the development and future prospects of our petrochemical industry. It shows the ability and confidence of Chinese liquid chemical shipowners to enter the international high-end fine chemical transportation market.
Chinese President Xi Jinping has stressed that an economic powerful country must be a maritime power and shipping power.
