The project of two 7200 DWT stainless steel chemical ships signed this time is the follow-up ships of the 7200 DWT project cooperated by SC Shipping (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Wuhan Shipbuilding Group. The first two vessels, "Wutong" and "Kapok", were delivered in October 2021 and March 2022 respectively. They have made several safe and stable voyage and can carry more than 700 kinds of goods, including PMDI, TDI and other high-end chemicals. Its excellent ship performance, cargo capacity and economic benefits have been recognized by the industry. Among them, Wutong has been successfully included in the 2021 World Famous Ship List recently released by the Royal Institution of Naval Architects, greatly enhancing the international influence of this type of ship. Both parties have enhanced mutual trust and forged profound friendship through cooperation. They have also witnessed the growth and maturity of the key core design and construction technologies of high-tech chemical tanker of Wuhan Shipbuilding Group, accumulated rich experience in design and construction, and laid a solid foundation for the successful signing of the two subsequent ship construction contracts.
