To further strengthen the foundation of safety management in hazardous chemical logistics and shipping, to establish a platform for sharing safety expertise among upstream and downstream enterprises, and promote coordinated improvement in industrial chain safety standards, on the afternoon of June 10, Mr. Yuan Zhongquan, HSE Director of Sinochem Energy Division, led a delegation including key leaders from the Logistics Department and QHSE Department of Sinochem Petrochemical Sales Company to visit SC Shipping for a specialized exchange on safety management practices. Vice GM Zang Yingui of SC Shipping, along with heads of relevant departments responsible for safety management and business operations, accompanied the entire discussion session.
During the meeting, Vice President Zang Yingui warmly welcomed the visiting team from Sinochem Energy and provided a comprehensive overview of the company’s overall business strategy and current status of shipping and logistics operations. He also elaborated on SC Shipping’s core safety initiatives, including the logical framework of its integrated safety management system, full-process closed-loop vessel safety controls, routine crew safety training mechanisms, and dynamic risk prevention measures tailored to the unique characteristics of waterborne hazardous cargo transportation.
In line with the national 25th “Everyone Talks Safety, Everyone Knows Emergency—Risk and Hazard Inspection” Safety Month campaign, SC Shipping presented a detailed report on the implementation plan and progress of its 2026 Safety Month special activities. The company has closely aligned its initiatives with the theme of the campaign, launching a series of distinctive programs such as vessel emergency drills, comprehensive hazard inspections, frontline crew safety skills competitions, and safety education seminars. These efforts have reinforced the safety responsibility system across all levels, solidified a robust safety defense in maritime shipping, and effectively enhanced the quality and efficiency of daily safety management through targeted activities.
Director Yuan Zhongquan highly praised and fully affirmed SC Shipping’s standardized, refined, and systematic approach to safety management. He noted that the company’s end-to-end safety control model, designed specifically for shipping operations, is solid and effective.
