On September 13, the naming and delivery ceremony for the second 11,300-DWT chemical tanker, "Bi Wu", built by Chongqing Chuandong Shipbuilding Industry for SC SHIPPING, was grandly held in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province.
The ceremony was attended by LIANG Bin, Deputy General Manager of SC SHIPPING, General Manager WANG Bo as well as Deputy General Managers YE Nian and SHI Yanping of Chongqing Chuandong Shipbuilding Industry, Ms. HUANG Yan, General Manager of Pyllot Software Co., Ltd., and CAO Yuchen, Deputy General Manager of the China Classification Society Chongqing Branch.
Looking back to the profound cooperative relationship between SC SHIPPING and Chuandong Shipbuilding Industry, LIANG Bin emphasized that it is the long-standing close collaboration and unwavering trust between both parties that have allowed them to grow together through challenges. WANG Bo expressed gratitude for SC SHIPPING's trust and support while paying tribute to all personnel involved in the design, construction, supervision and inspection processes. Ms. HUANG Yan named the new ship "Bi Wu" and performed a ceremonial ship christening with champagne, symbolizing that "Bi Wu" would carry everyone's best wishes as it sets sail for smooth journeys ahead.
